This eye-catching and reversible pendant features an antique mother-of-pearl gambling counter set with a blackened silver bail. gaming counters, or "chips," such as this one were originally carved in China in the 18th century for export to Britain, where they were used the way we use poker chips. This beautiful gaming chip was hand-carved with a floral design on one side, framed with an elegant and scalloped border. The reverse is engraved with a delicate moth, a symbol of long life. The chip has scalloped edges that echo engraved design. This pendant was handcrafted by our Master Jewelers in Los Angeles and is a wonderful representation of wearable, historical art!
