Antique Mother-of-Pearl Gaming Chip, Yellow Gold & Silver Square Dangle Earrings

These striking dangle earrings feature hand-carved, antique mother-of-pearl gambling counters with motifs dating back to the 18th Century. The gambling counters, or "gaming chip" as they are often called, were originally carved in China for export to Britain, where they were used as we would use poker chips. Different sizes and shapes were made to denote different denominations. We have taken these antique pieces of art and made them into beautiful jewelry!

Each gaming counter is set in a handmade 18k yellow gold and blackened silver mounting inspired by the architecture of Ancient China. Please refer to the history of the gaming counter shown alongside our additional photographs of these earrings. They are a real conversation piece when worn!

Handmade by our Master Jewelers in Los Angeles. Each gaming counter measures 11.50 x 11.50mm. Earrings measure approximately 2 inches in total length.
