This ring features an antique, mother-of-pearl Chinese gambling counter with motifs dating back to the 18th century. This piece was originally carved in China for export to Britain. The British used these mother-of-pearl pieces much like we would use a poker chip. (Please refer to the history of the gaming counter, shown along with additional photographs of this piece.)
Each gaming counter is finely engraved and is set in a handmade 18k yellow gold and blackened silver mounting inspired by the architecture of Ancient China. Two black ceramic bands, for "stacking" on either side of this ring, are included. So elegant and fun to wear! Handmade by our jewelers in Los Angeles, this ring is available in ring sizes 5-9 with a variety of scenes to choose from!
